Barriqule was founded in 2014 from an idea by Lorenzo Del Tufo, who grew up in his family's winery between Barolo and Barbaresco. The name joins two worlds: barrique, the French casks used to age great wines, and barricule, which in the Langhe dialect simply means glasses.

Barriqule is the only eyewear company in the world with no warehouse. Every piece is made to order, eliminating waste. Only Lorenzo puts his hands on the glasses.
Selection
The oak staves are chosen from the retired barriques of the family winery. Only wood that has held great wines for years goes into production.
Shaping
The wood is shaped, sanded and treated with a natural water-repellent oil. Imperfections are preserved: every grain and every knot makes it unique.
The front
The wooden temples meet fronts in Italian bio-acetate. Shapes and colours are renewed every season, with over 100 models created.
Assembly
Every pair is finished by hand in Alba. Quality control and packing on demand: no unsold stock, no waste.
